Video Games: Design/Play/Disrupt

Whether you are a die-hard gamer, or a technophobe, the current ‘Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt’ Exhibition at London’s V&A Museum is well worth a visit. It is too easy to dismiss a world that we don’t understand as at best a waste of time, at worst an unhealthy distraction or addictive pastime leading to the corruption of those that play those games. The exhibition shows the monumental amount of creative work that takes a game from concept to finished product and properly acknowledges this relatively new area of artistic expression. It’s also a lot of fun and reminds you that fun can be a Very Good Thing.
